Adrian Franklin is a professor of Sociology at the University of Tasmania and a well known television and radio presenter of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, having done work for such programs as By Design on ABC Radio National and also for the ABC television series Collectors (TV series) where, with Gordon Brown (television presenter) and Andy Muirhead, he was one of the panel of experts.
He has published several scientific and non-scientific books including A Collector's Year (2008), published by the University of New South Wales Press and linked into his self professed collecting mania. He has taken a more prominent role on the Collectors since the departure of Muirhead and has become part host of the program along with Claudia Chan Shaw and Gordon Brown.
